getting better and better...
i've been a fan of namelessnumberheadman from the beginning. sometimes it's hard to be objective when you know the band and they've been the soundtrack to extreme hurts and joys in your life, but i'm going to say that this is probably their best record. the production is much more warm and nuanced, making repeated listening a joy. the album takes its time to develop and slowly die down, somewhat like the last record, your voice repeating. the band is truly a product of refreshing influences like xtc, the flaming lips, opiate. if you like pianos, banjos, mellotrons, tingly sequenced samples and understated vocals and are willing to walk with the band at its own pace, this one's for you.
