Fast, cheap, and out of control — this is gutbucket thrash for the most jaded of teenaged parking-lot dwellers. After just a few minutes of throbbing power chords and Wayne Static's drunken-sailor bellowing you're ready to end it all, yet there is an undeniable hook to the chunky gloom this band pours out. WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP (?)

Their best album no doubt... totally awesome... blah blah blah. CENSORED?????? Don't waste your time buying the non-explicit version. Even though just some words are missing, it still takes away a little bit of something from these songs. Don't get me wrong, I really like this album.

i loved it

its just bad that its cencored....i hate that....

Good debut album...

But gets blown away by the next two. Trance Is The Motion may be my favorite song they do. This is a good starting place if you are new to static. But seriously, get the explicit version.

Static-X's roots trace to the Midwest, where vocalist/guitarist Wayne Static grew up in Michigan and drummer Ken Jay in Illinois. They ended up in Chicago separately and met at the record store where Jay worked, introduced to one another by Smashing Pumpkins vocalist Billy Corgan. Static and Jay decided to head west to California and start up a new band.
