UGH...We get it....its magic!

All the songs sound the same.....10 of the 12 songs have the word "magic" in it...i woud rather buy the hannah montana soundtrack than this...

I Love Wizards and Selena, but this Soundtrack is a Disappointment.

I was so looking forward to the soundtrack to this amazing series. Wizards of Waverly place is a fun show to watch; one of the better Disney has ever released. Selena Gomez has perfect comedic timing and her singing is not that bad either. When Selena's cover of Magic was released, I couldn't wait! But when I found the track listing, I was disappointed. It has its good points. Stever Rushton, Mitchel Musso, Honor Society, KSM, Meaghan Martin, Andrew Seeley all do covers that are pretty good. Everybody may not approve of them, but the people who don't have to understand that kids go wild when they see their favorite Radio Disney stars singing songs. And parents appreciate hearing songs they grew up with. So even though you may not approve of the cover itself, don't get too offended. It's really just for fun. And the fans love it! But the songs that surprised me were the old ones. Raven-Symone's "Some Call It Magic" has already been over-promoted. It's a crappy song sung by someone that I have lost all respect for. The song should not have been pushed onto this album. It belongs on the That's So Raven soundtrack from years ago. I don't care if it mentions magic, it was written for a different series and is tired and annoying. And I hate that when I buy the album I'll have to buy that song too. Another outdated, overplayed Disney song: Do You Believe In Magic by Aly and A.J. This was a cover they did a couple years ago. It was even a single. NO! I thought we got rid of them for the most part! And now they're back with a song that was over-promoted two or so years ago! Granted, I am biased. I have a kind of disgust of Raven and Aly&AJ...Raven just let herself down the tubes and Aly&AJ got annoying REAL quick! All three of these girls are also loud, outspoken, and obnoxious. They were cute for a minute, but I (along with many Disney fans) am tired of them. Whether you like them or not, I'm sure there are plenty of people not happy with these old, outdated songs being on the album. Also, what really ticks me off if this is hardly a soundtrack. The covers of songs mentioning magic are cute, but they go overboard. Every single song title but one has "Magic" in it. Way to overplay it! I realize that this is not Hannah Montana, and it is harder to find songs for the soundtrack. So I am fine with the covers. In fact, I'm excited about several of them! But the soundtrack is missing the most important song... Make It Happen! Why the heck did they not include that song? It actually WAS from the TV show! It actually WAS used for promotions! It should be on the soundtrack! But they LEFT IT OUT! Really?! NOT happy with this soundtrack. Go ahead and buy it if you're a fan. I probably will! But if you don't have $8.99 to spare...don't waste your money. It's not worth it.
