A little Peace at Christmas

Perhaps the most beautiful collection Holiday music ever. The angellic voices of the singers lift my spirit and calm my soul. Truly a work of love on the part of the artists, and a wonderful gift for christmas. A blessing to all who listen.

Christmas with excellent voices & beautiful music!

I love the way the voices of these women blend together and I'm constantly impressed by the music they record (and their selections are interesting from a nerdy perspective!). "The Seven Rejoices of Mary" is my favourite song from this album.

Great, but subdued

This is a very good album, and the Anonymous 4, as usual, are just about perfect singing. However, I was disappointed that some of the songs seem a bit subdued. "A Calender of Kings" is modern, but in a style that I don't like at all, with harmonies that are disturbing to my ear. There are some real winners though, like "The Holly and the Ivy" (much more upbeat!), and "The Lamb" (they do a much better job on this than The Sixteen do). In addition, the harp player is excellent. I must admit that I've enjoyed A4's "Gloryland" album a bit more than this one, but "Wolcum Yule" is definitely a keeper!
