The Movie..
The movie was shocking. I didn't like how the Woman killed the mother initially in the end, because the mother was always nice to her. The soundtrack was okay. "Distracted" is a really good song.
Something Very New
Spillane's music is living proof of how much a film score can propel the effectiveness and the impact of a film. The Woman is brilliant, visceral, terrifying, and electric. Most importantly, it is really, really fun and entertaining, and a significant element that contributes to that is this music. Not only is it catchy and completely effective in a stand-alone sense, but it jives with the film in a way that few film scores do (particularly in the horror genre, which tends to favor tuneless ambient droning) and it creates a complete tonal separation from a majority of films out there. The juxtaposition of the songs to the images puts an entirely new spin on the way to approach filmic material, and although it is done quite subtly, the impact is very large - maybe even beyond the original intent of the filmmakers. These are some excellent songs, both with and without the film, but they really do a great deal in making The Woman what it is.
Worst soundtrack this side of Birdemic
This soundtrack completely ruined what would have otherwise been a mediocre movie.
