Album Review
`The Best of Missing Persons was the band's first retrospective, and unlike the later, single-oriented comps, it draws a broader picture of the Los Angeles new wave act's three albums and one EP. It includes the hit singles — "Words," "Walking in L.A.," the classic "Destination Unknown" — as well as a clutch of album cuts ranging from decent to tiresome. Dale Bozzio's nasally hiccup can get very grating, after all. Nevertheless, it was as much a part of Missing Persons' sound as were the prominent keyboards and bopping guitar lines, and all three elements are alive and well on Best of Missing Persons. Get out the sparkly eye shadow and interplanetary plastic brassieres.

by SkyBriThis Missing Persons compilation has a decent selection of songs inextricably linked to my college years... but there is no way they can call it "Best of" and not include Surrender Your Heart. What were they thinkin?
The Best of Missing Persons

The songs are full of energy and she sings awesome!
Missing persons concert
by elghammerMy friend got us back stage passes to MP concert in Ann Arbor because he welded Terry Bozzio's funky drum set. The concert was of course awesome and it was fun watching them carry large bottles of champage around backstage. The real show came afterward as the boys appeared out stage door and all the local girls lined up to kiss them. Formed a line, waited their turn and then laid it on them. Hmm never saw anything like that before, I think the winner got a limo ride. Remember, no walking in LA or A2.
