Just perfect!
This album does so many great things all at the same time, it's hard to know where to begin. First, the collection of artists is amazing. Though you might not expect to hear Samuel Jackson do a kids track, he does it very well on Knowa' the Cat. Perry Farrell and Deborah Harry as a duet is so natural, it's surprising they had not done that before. The late Lou Rawls and Isaac Hayes are total credibility and perform with deep soul. Who knew Gary Oldman could sing? Mostly, the album is terrific because of the hugely positive messages about compassion, Kindness, patience, the virtue of language and so much more. The best part, though is that it's just plain great fun. Positive messaging that you can dance to is a winning combination. This is truly a family album, something for everyone from 2 to 9. The bonus tracks from Joan Osborne, Edwin McCain and a new song from Perry Farrell are just the icing on the cake!
