Servant was the best!!!
Servant was an awesome Live band. One of the first I remember to use Laser Lights. This album is probably their 3rd best album. The first would be "Light Manuevers" & a close second would be "Caught in the act of loving Him". "Come Jesus Come" is my favorite on this album. "Jungle Music" is a fun song, kind of quirky, but I like that it references some popular christian bands at the time. iTunes We need more of the classic Christian Music!!!
The best of Christian rock.
Thanks itunes for putting this band on your site, great Christian rock band. One of the best female voices of all times. Love her singing and could burn a CD with just her songs. And did.
Powerful Music
It is great to hear these tunes again. "World of Sand" is early 80's perfection in terms of music production and lyrical content. Servant was much more adventurous than many bands in CCM at the time. They received a lot of flack for it but the inventiveness of their music stands tha test of time. From the pointed sacrasm of "Jungle Music" to the absolutely heart wrenching and redemptive "Sudden Death," Servant shows that there were few Chrstian bands that came close to their bold expression of faith in the early 80's. Great music!
