Malmsteen 4 Life!

Whatever critics or others try to say about this guy being a poser should actually listen to this guys music before judging him by looks lol. Seriously this guy like set the tone for shredders...malmsteen may possibly be the greatest guitarest that ever lived. Every second of his music is FLAWLESS...perfection...almost like its a computer playing it or some special effect thing because I still can't beleive a human can play music like this. Obviously, shredders don't apply to everyone, but any shredder fan should buy this album all i have to say is this guy is insane. Probably the fastest picker ever.

Yngwie has not improved since Rising Force

I loved Rising Force but since then Yngwie has continued to play the same diminished runs and harmonic minor scales over and over and over. It's sad really. I was a huge fan and would have loved to hear him evolve. Yngwie needs to check out Alan Holdsworth and Shawn Lane. He has run out of ideas. He should also take note of the fact that all of his top rated songs on iTunes are instrumentals. He should simply lose the singers and the whole Dungeons and Dragons gag. He is still capable of something great but I have a sinking feeling he'll just keep rehashing those same tired harmonic runs all the way to the bank.

in my opinion

he is the greatest guitarist who ever alive

Born: 1963 in Stockholm, Sweden

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

Yngwie Malmsteen is arguably the most technically accomplished hard rock guitarist to emerge during the '80s. Combining a dazzling technique honed over years of obsessive practice with a love for such classical composers as Bach, Beethoven, and Paganini, Malmsteen's distinctively Baroque, gothic compositional style and lightning-fast arpeggiated solos rewrote the book on heavy metal guitar. His largely instrumental debut album, Rising Force, immediately upped the ante for aspiring hard rock guitarists...
