You might not recognize the name but Mac McAnally is a legend. What a wonderful song writer. This song is great and I can't wait for the cd. Way to go Mac. Best of wishes!
most underappreciated artist singer/songwriter in America today
This man is the best singer/ songwriter in America today. I have been listening to him since 1977 when i heard him play outside of Jackson , MS.....why he is so underappreciated is beyond me. I have all of his music on vinyal, i have all his music on CD and i have what little is offered through iTunes. He has written for and played with Jimmy Buffet, Nancy Griffith, Sawyer Brown and many others... He is an Honorary memeber of the Coral Reefer Band. Keep up the great work Mac....your music has been the soundtrack for my life from High School all the way up to becoming a Grandfather. thank you!
Mac McAnally--Revered by other performers, unknown to the public
Ok, not totally unknown. Many of us were lucky enough to see him in the 70s (he often opened for other great songwriter-singers like Randy Newman and Jimmy Buffett). He is an awesome songwriter whose songs are sad, beautiful, hilarious .... you name it. This is a very nice song. I hope ITunes will add the rest of his catalogue.
