Album Review

And You Think You Know What Life's About is a title full of import. It signals that Dishwalla wants to be taken seriously and not dismissed as a one-hit alterna-wonder. Similiarly, the record is filled with self-conscious moody sounds and lyrics...Tempering their post-grunge template with synths, drum loops and swooping noise, Dishwalla has offered an album that is sonically different than Pet Your Friends, but they essentially offer the same type of songs...Dishwalla still comes through with a handful of strong tunes...

Worth Every Penny!!!

This is an awesome album. An ALBUM is just what it is. It is filled with great songs you can literally play this from start to finish. I initially bought this in 1998 when it was released and it continues to be one of my faves. During a recent move, my cd was damaged. I was MORTIFIED. I immediately rushed to the local record store to buy another, but they didn't have it :(. (They said i could order it for 17.98 +tax and a two week wait.) But good ole itunes had it for 9.99. If you are thinking about buying a song from this album, please buy the album. I assure you won't be dissapointed.

Once in a While

The album is decent. "Once in a While" is by far the best song. The song makes the whole album better. Buy the album it is a good one. Dishwalla is another great 90's band such as Nirvana, Tonic, Live, and Soundgarden.

Excellent Album

Every album Dishwalla has put out has attracted me, this one in particular. The tracks on this one are excellent. My top 5 I would recommend are as follows; 1) Gone Upside Down, 2) So Much Time, 3) Stay Awake, 4) Bottom of the Floor, and 5) Truth Serum... Bonus Recommendation: So Blind. I recommend you buy the whole album, those are just my favorites. Opaline has good stuff as well.
