Still Great!
I saw Karmella's Game for the first time back in 2004 at the Monarch Tavern in Norfolk Va and Have listened to them since, matter a fact they hung out at a party myself and some friends were at after the show...been a long time. But Man!!! They're still great!
Sickly Sweet Synth-Pop Candy
Karmella's game is such a fascinating band. They buck every trend and popular conception about popular music and just write really amazing and unique songs. This album in particular shows how much they have evolved as a band in terms of songwriting and vocal control. You'll Be Sorry plays out almost like a rock-opera in parts, but it definitely stays consistent from start to end. You'll find a healthy dose of synth-rock pop, but with mature lyrics and complex bridges and verses. This is a just pleasant surprise.I specifically recommend that you go back and listen to the first two albums before hearing this. It flows much better when you do it that way :)
