Yeah, they rock!
Ever since my girlfriend and I saw these guys down at Fountain Square in the Nati we have been completely obsessed with them. This is interesting becuase we usually don't agree on music. Normally we tolerate each other's taste, but we usually don't dig the same band. We bought both of their EPs and usually play them back to back. It's good when we're getting ready in the morning doing our hair, or while we're in the car, or just sitting together at home chilling. As a fiction writer I can say that I've gotten some great work done while listening to them. In fact I have yet to find a time when it doesn't fit in.
The beats are just so right on and kinetic. It sticks with you. I say, even if your're not normally a fan of electronic music, these dudes are worth checking out. There's a surface playfulness that hooks you and makes you feel alive and aware and then, underneath, a much deeper element that lingers long after. Do yourself a favor and grab both their EPs, and if you are anywhere near them, check out their live show as well. It's a lot of fun!

How can you go wrong with an album that tells you that you are, in fact, both awesome AND a superhero? This album is a great follow-up to YYA's first EP, You're a Fun Drunk, dishing out kicky tunes like I'm Deaf and You're Boring, as well as exploring more thoughtful numbers such as Don't Jump, I Brought Pancakes. I don't know how to describe what their sound is, but if you're looking for something new and different (involving a possibly sinister plot by a pair of bunnies), You, You're Awesome is it.
