MMW executes another album with precision
if you're a fan of mmw, then you won't be disappointed with zaebos. even though the music is written by john zorn, all of these compositions are fiery and tantalizing; with a few pieces that are more ethnic and wildly improvisational sounding. medeski martin & wood have been my favorite jazz trio for a long time and they never cease to impress the common jazz lovers' ear. fav tracks are agmatia, vianuel, and zagzagel
Awesome Addition
Each a longtime associate of Zorn on an individual basis, it was great to see MMW contribute their take on the Masada book. As funky and fiery as you'd expect from the boys, adding Zorn's songs to their talents they reach new heights as a world jazz fusion tzadiks. Well Done! - one short editorial comment this is vol. 11 not vol 2 for the The Book of Angels series.
