great melodies, one of the first things i listen to in music. a melody that inspires me, moves me, reminds me, invigorates me, or refreshes me, among every other feeling on the face of the earth is worth a million dollars. music is powerful and this record has great melodies that speak. on top of that, the solid grooves that are drizzled lightly with jazzy blues such as the song Zen Garden are what make the record even more amazing. the vocals are excellent, Callie you have a great voice; its delicate yet powerful and assertive, firm and solid yet gentle enough to caress the most sensitive of ears. similar in some ways, if i might add, to the voice that belongs to your sister. Dave i believe you are in charge of percussion here, and i must say the patterns and rhythms you play in many of the tracks is wonderful, to me its making the percussion instruments that are being played have their own voice, breaking away from the "keeping time" moniker often associated with drums/percussion. also, really nice bass playing as well, great tone and feel. really nice. i like how the bass as well is directly involved with the music, what i mean is that the bassist seemed to have wrote music to go with the music, he's not simply playing "bass lines".

Simple, Unique, Wonderful

I heard of Callie Moore through her brother in law, Shay Carl. I find her music talent to be simply beautiful, as well as her voice. To the person who said she is "unimpressive" clearly doesnt know good quality music. This is Moore's first album, give her a break before judging her so quickly. Callie strongly shows original, well made lyrics and tone in her music and that's what we need more of these days. Keep it up, Callie!
