It’s amazing that it took Rob Zombie two decades to finally release a live album. After all, this is a man whose hard rock has always had a strong theatrical bent and who worshipped Kiss as a young man. Kiss broke themselves on a national level with their double-live album Alive!. Zombie, however, can only expect his Live album to satisfy the faithful, as he has settled into a comfortable niche as a horror film director (re-making Halloween and writing his own original material). His music benefits from the live setting. Recorded during his 2006 Educated Horses tour, Live is loose but never sloppy. “More Human Than Human” benefits from its audience interaction and many of the guitar riffs take on an extra dimension as they hit the arena rock air. Since his days in White Zombie, Rob Zombie has wanted the great stage and he never shies from the grand moment. “Dead Girl Superstar” churns with the momentum of classic ’70s hard rock. His limited singing range only makes the notes he can reach that much more intense.

how can you not help but feel warm and fuzzy when listening to Zombie live? The big sound and upfront vocals will make family dinner a special time. I put the headphones on my babies and let them listen loud -- they'll grow big and strong! If you can afford this, get it. Do all the things you want to do without fear.
Awesome Concert and CD
I was at this show and it rocked, if you like Rob Zombie, White Zombie, or metal with a little horror theme thrown in you'll like this performance. Rob's biggest hits are on this disc along with Thunder Kiss '65. The live concert sounds excellent, not washed out or muddy like some live performances recorded for CD and it should sound good, the show was last November. As a side note DTE is not in Detroit, it's in Clarkston, not even the same county or area code.

Wanna know what a "Rob Zombie" concert is like? Listen to this CD, and then you'll know! since I've seen he and his band live. I wasn't too sure his high energy show would translate well onto a live CD. But fortunatly, I was wrong! This CD is going to sell a lot of tickets to his shows with "Ozzy"! Huh, Good marketing ploy? Or did he just finally wise up, and give his fan what they wanted?
