** Featured on BBC, iTunes, Best App Ever Awards **
NOTE: A free universal update for iPad version is in the works (for full and lite version)
-----
Leave it to the "Best User Interface 2009" App Awards winners to make THE ToDo List you’ve been waiting for: Zero complications. Zero frustration. Just a stunning to do list you can finally understand and use.
Use with Sync or without; Zero hair pulling required.
NOTE: 2Do lite does not offer Sync or Push/Email Alarms. It limits you to three Calendars with 25 ToDos in each (including tasks marked as 'done'), while all other features are the same as the full version.
★ Projects, Checklists or simple ToDos
Group tasks together under Checklists or Projects and sort these independently.
★ Share Todos by Email or Twitter
Tap and hold on a task to reveal more options. Send tasks to friends and family via email. Tasks can be updated and sent back to the sender. Sharing tasks with other 2Do users could not be easier.
★ Actions
Attach a Contact to your ToDo to remind you of calling, emailing, visiting them etc, or attach your current location to the ToDo you're creating for future reference.
★ Starred Tasks
Star tasks that need immediate attention and view them separately in the built-int 'Starred' special tab.
★ Focus
Use the Focus Toggle to focus on specific ToDo's per Calendar: Due Today, Tomorrow etc
★ Voice Notes
Too lazy to type? Attach voice notes to your tasks!
★ Tags
Manage tags made up of words or contacts (from the Address Book). Fully integrated in global search.
★ Repeating ToDos
Add Repeating / Recurring ToDos with flexible repeat options
★ Drag & Drop
Tap and hold on a task and start dragging when options appear. Effortlessly move a task, project or checklist from one calendar to another. Tasks dragged and dropped over the special Today calendar automatically get their due date updated to Today.
★ Import Birthdays
Import Birthdays from your Address Book automatically and create recurring tasks out of them
★ Batch Operations
Batch edit, delete, move, tag or share tasks. From a single view, move tasks to a Calendar or a checklist / project within a Calendar.
★ Password Protection
Protect your tasks and calendars from prying eyes by locking them. You can now also lock 'Done' tasks in v1.2.
★ Tabbed Calendars
Group related tasks under their respective calendar. Get quick access to all calendars and tasks from a single view without the need of moving back and forth between different screens. Tap and hold on a tab to reveal calendar options.
★ Smart Calendars
Save searches as Smart Calendars to view later at any time. Great way to filter your Contexts and selected phrases.
★ Date Range search with Smart Calendars
Search for tasks within a given start and end date or leave it open ended (e.g. Coming 7 Days) to create truly dynamic smart calendars
★ Soundex Search
Search for words throughout the app using the unmatched Full Text search engine. 2Do supports intuitive soundex capabilities, returning results with words matching the pronunciation of the word too (for latin languages).
★ Backup & Restore
Backup and restore the 2Do database any time. This feature can also be used to migrate 2Do Lite database to 2Do Full.
★ TextExpander Support
★ Much more
2Do offers a lot more than that listed on this page. You may find out more about what's included by visiting the 2Do App website.

What's New In Version 1.2.5.2
[new] * Starred tasks added to badge count / focus options
[new] * When adding actions, you can now select 'None' if you don't wish to pick a contact/enter text. This will allow you to use the special Action icons and types.
[new] * More search enhancements giving you extreme level of control over your searches. You can now use any of the following reserved search keywords (without quotes) to filter on specific tasks. This is extremely useful when combined with dynamic Smart Search Calendars. You could, for example, create a smart calendar on the term 'type:audio' and quickly navigate to all tasks with Audio notes without hunting through a long list (and without the need of changing sort options).
"type: action" - will return all tasks with any action set
"type: call" - will return all tasks with a Call action
"type: sms" - will return all tasks with a SMS action
"type: email" - will return all tasks with an Email action
"type: browse" - will return all tasks with a URL action
"type: visit" - will return all tasks with a Visit action
"type: google" - will return all tasks with a Google Search action
"type: audio" - will return all tasks with an Audio file
"type: pict" - will return all tasks with a Picture attachment
"type: repeat" - will return all recurring tasks
[new] * Smart Date Search enhancements. The 'None' button in the special date range selector now filters on tasks with No Due Date. It no longer acts as a 'cancel' button.
* French translation updated
* Add View now auto-removes default text when field is focused
* Fixed issue for certain timezones where sub-tasks within a Checklist wouldn't show in the Today tab
* Task context menu popup delay slightly reduced
Customer Reviews
Nice, but not $7 nice
I already use Awesome Note, which I bought for a begrudging $2.99 - and I love it (in fact its completely replaced my default Notes app). The last time I tried 2Do Lite I was NOT impressed, but its grown up quite a lot since then. As a task planner/organizer, it actually seems like it could be very handy - even moreso than Awesome Note for this particular task... but at $7 for the full version it's a complete ripoff - especially for such a specialized app (I can add tasks to my iPhone's calendar for free). $2.99 would be reasonable, and if it ever hit that price point I'd buy it in a flash... but for now Awesome Note + my default Calendar app does all this for a lot less $$.
Buy the "non-lite" one!
I'm super organized. My calendar is color coded as shown above, and I love being able to sync to iCal. I downloaded the "lite" version and played with it for about 24 hours. By the end, I loved it so much I bought the real thing and never looked back.
It's a bit complicated because you do have to play around with it for a bit, but if you want your calendar to sync directly with iCal, this app will do the trick.
Get the lite version first to see (THANK YOU DEVELOPERS BY THE WAY!) and then spend the money on the paid app. It's totally worth it.
Stunning indeed!
I just started trying this app since it was recently made available in lite version. My first impressions so far are...it is amazingly easy to use. To navigate from one feature to another is a snap and requires virtually no learning curve. Among the ability to set recurring tasks as well as other neat features such as toggle from calendars to full view, one of my favorites is the ability to re-arrange entries via drag and drop to calendars. The calendars work like folders/tags. Did I say it looks gorgeous, too?
It’s amazing that somebody would blatantly give it just 1 star (or 0 if could be possible} without providing specifics other that just citing it is “probably the most complicated notes app on the itunes store.” Well it is NOT a notes app. So no wonder. Seriously, if you find it difficult to figure out, the problem might not lie in the application itself...if you know what I mean.
