Works on iPhone
It says iPad in the description, but it works on the iPhone. Love these apps, hope they release more lessons!
This is a 5 star app with only ONE problem
This app is terrific - the video is great, the tab is clear, the table of contents is easily accessible, the backing tracks are super helpful, the instructor explains everything in perfect detail, and the price just can't be beat for it all. Honestly, I spent a week with this program and my jazz vocabulary has expanded ten-fold --I actually sound like a jazz guitarist when I'm improvising solos, instead of a blues guitarist playing over a jazz progression. In all the time I spent with it, I could only find one downfall, and I hope it's one that the developers will seriously take into consideration when updating the app --please allow for a button that will take the video immediately to the time the guy starts playing. There's usually always anywhere from 15 seconds to 45 seconds of the guy talking about what he's about to play (the history, technical difficulty, the theory, etc). Sometimes I just want to practice alongside the guy, and I usually want to do this a good dozen times. This means that I have to manually time-scrub each and every time, and that can be a bit irritating. Other guitar lick apps have a feature where you can click to view the example at normal speed and half speed --if Truefire implemented a similar feature, it would really complete this already phenomenal app!
Really good
Perfectly designed collection of 50 bite-sized chunks that intermediate players can actually digest. The videos are great, so nice to have one cam on the fretting hand and another on the picking hand. I love it! I would have picked up the entire collection of Truefire apps at the 4.99 price, but now that they're 9.99 each I'll have to pick and choose a little more. Hope you drop the price back down, Truefire. Fortunately, this app should keep me busy for a while.
