Description
ACDSee Camera Flash lets you instantly correct your underexposed photos using patented LCE technology.
Patented LCE (Lighting and Contrast Enhancement) from ACD Systems International Inc is the same driving force behind the Lighting tool in the ACDSee photo editing products.
It adds natural-looking illumination to the dark areas of your photos while still preserving contrast and detail using advanced image processing algorithms from ACDSee.
- Increase exposure of dark (underexposed) photos
- Increase contrast and vibrancy of dull photos
- Correct uneven lighting
- Correct backlit photos
- Produce HDR-like results from a single image
Better than a flash
An actual on-camera flash can create unwanted highlights, unnatural colors, too much or too little illumination of the subject, odd shadows, and red-eye. Using ACDSee Camera Flash with LCE technology can eliminate these unflattering, unnatural effects.

Tested...check
Whether you snap a pic, use one already in your photo roll, or grab one of your friends pics from Facebook, this app just works. The funny thing is I am using an iPad 2 to take a pic at like 0.8 MP so the resolution is horrible anyway, but this app lightened the pic nonetheless.
Looking forward to getting the iPhone 4S to really use this app. Anyhow, I absolutely agree that this app is a keeper for any pic that you just want to add brightness too. Good work devs.
Hmmm....
Maybe it is just me, but as far as I can tell this app only controls brightness. Not sure if it is all the developers claim it is and perhaps it is or I am simply not using it correctly, but it appears to me that this app only controls brightness and if you correct for brightness then some areas of your photo will be over exposed. Just my 2cents...I'll keep playing with it with other photos...but there are apps which do much more than this one.
I hope there is some sort of software logic that attempts to correct portions of the photo while leaving other portions intact.
One hit wonder
It only does one thing, but it does that thing superbly well. And folks, this isn't just a tool to increase brightness. If it was, the highlights would be blown out every time. No, this app intelligently brightens only the areas that need it—the shadows.
