With AmpliTube for iPad, you have an entire guitar and bass rig at your fingertips. You get 4 stompbox effects running into an amplifier head with effects, plus cabinet and a microphone. Choose from 11 built-in stompbox effects (delay, fuzz, overdrive, wah, envelope filter, chorus, flanger, phaser, octave, noise filter + distortion once registered), 5 amps (clean, crunch, lead, metal, bass) with full controls, 5 speaker cabinets and 2 microphones (dynamic and condenser). Capture your ideas quickly by recording your performances with the built-in recorder featuring re-amping capabilities, then share your track by exporting high quality audio files or M4As. Re-amping is the ability to change the sound and tone of your original recording by applying a different set of effects settings. You can record your track, then go back and completely change the sound without having to re-play it. You can expand the included recorder to a full-fledged professional multitrack studio by adding the 8 tracks recorder plus master effects section (available as in-app purchase), to record your band or produce full songs directly in AmpliTube.
Play along with songs or backing tracks by importing them directly from your iPod library in your device or from your computer. AmpliTube also features our popular SpeedTrainer learning/practice feature which allows you to slow down or speed up the tempo of audio material without affecting pitch. A digital chromatic tuner and metronome are also included.

i seriously hope i got a lemon iRig
cause if this crazy (CRAZY!) hiss, low volume, and noticeable split -second latency is what you guys are all raving about, you either work for IK, or have no real ear for gear.
i'm $60 total down (got the $20 app plus $40 iRig, which feels like it was made by radio shack circa 1980, btw), and i feel like i got gyped or seriously misled. i'm returning the physical iRig asap and trying another one, and if it sounds the same, this 2 stars going to 1 in a hurry. then i'll try ampkit. cause i really want a decent sounding portable practice 'amp'.
the fx themselves sound capable, but if your headphones and speakers "HIIIIISSSSSS," what's the point?
EXPENSIVE app ok features
This app nickel & dimes you to get to full functionality. An additional $14.99 to get the full recorder & amp effects... $2.99 EACH for a pedal.
The app itself is ok. Nice interface, and 'ok' quality on the modelling. Not as good as a Vox desktop modeller, but useable in the hotel room on the road.
Don't think it is quite the value I hoped it was.
STOP the &$:#% popup ads on an expensive PAID ap !!!!
Great update
I've been waiting very long for this update. I've been on iOS 5 betas for a while and this app hasn't been working and now it works just like it should. Please add more than 4 effects at a time in the future and I would love it even more.
