Description
"There have been other games about spiders, but never one that so thoroughly celebrates the beauty and deadly elegance of their work." - jayisgames.com
Arachnophilia was a ground breaking online game we released in 2008. It has been one of our most successful games to date, and we're very excited to finally make it available on the iPhone and iPod Touch!
Arachnophilia is an arcade-style simulation of a night in the life of a spider. Your goal is to survive for as long as possible by building a web to trap and devour the hapless insects who blunder into it. How long can you survive, and how many different insects will you meet along the way? Can you become a legend among spiders and capture the bat? Compare your score on the global leaderboards or against your Facebook friends, and share it through Twitter, Facebook, or email.
But it's not all about survival - along with helpful gameplay tips, you're also treated to an array of interesting facts about spiders and the other creatures you encounter. And for a more relaxed experience you can indulge in "Art Mode", where you have unlimited webbing and an undisturbed canvas.
Arachnophilia is also available for the iPad.

Great time waster
This is a great game to play to pass the time when your board.
Great
This is a solid arcade game with simple play mechanics and addictive gameplay. Great art design with arcade gameplay, make this a game for everyone.
Just the game for a Spider Loving Freak!
Your mission is to simply keep your spider alive as long as possible by catching all of the bugs you can in your cleverly laid webs and chomping down on them. Each of your different victims have their own unique stats and effects which make a big part of the game's strategy figuring out how to best combine their beneficial effects while mitigating the dangerous aspects. Like how the game suggests trying to eat a Stag Beetle (lets you spin extra reinforced webs for a short period of time) and a Dragonfly (speeds you up temporarily) so you can go on a brief web spinning spree! I also love how the game is all about managing your spider's fragile little ecosystem. For example, catching a Firefly has the cool power of attracting bunches of Moths (are a great source of webbing). While this sounds like such a win/win situation there is a nasty catch! Too many moths will over stress your web the crap out of it and therefore leave you unable to catch any further bugs (even with all of your newly gained webbing, its hard to make repairs when under a flood of bugs nor without much of a base left to make the repairs).
