I don't like this app as well as other similar Bible apps
I find it confusing that there are two apparently identically named
versions in the app store. Additionally, certain features don't
work...hyperlinks in NET Bible LM for example. Additional Bibles
are expensive and not described sufficiently to allow a decision
to download or not. Improving the "in app" tools to make using it
easier would help. The potential is there but some work is needed to

By far the Best Bible App I used
Out of the 5 Bible apps that I have used this one is by far the best. It has a great interface with the easiest and quickest way to jump to a verse. I love the side by side feature on both the iPad and iPhone. I have the Russian Bible (found on their website) and ESV opened simultaneously. It syncs any purchases, notes or highlights across all your Bible versions and devices (including my Mac). You can search any word in the Bible and in the search results you don't have to scroll through 900 verses but it has a quick scroll bar with a preview of the verse that is organized by the books of the Bible which makes it easy to scroll to the Book you need. The Font is customizable to any size and type. You can change the color of the background (few choices). The highlight feature is amazing, you can create your own highlighters with different names, colors and styles for each (even underline). Then you can search your bible by the highlights that you made (it even time stamps your highlights and notes). There are a ton of customizable multi-touch and gesture features that allow you to swipe with 1,2 or 3 fingers to flip through chapters, books or your search history by swiping with two fingers to the right to go to the previous verse you were reading. This is great during a sermon, it helps you flip back and forth through the text. There are many more features but this review is getting too long. You can download the free version and try it. I recently purchased the MacArthur Study Bible in ESV for this app … and I LOVE it, it has many references to other verses of the Bible in every verse and I am able to quick view the verse without flipping through many pages.
