OMG! It's ALIVE!
As a former Palm OS user, and addicted BOD gamer... I have to say I'm EXTATIC that this game is finally out!
I take back my previous comments about the gameplay controls... after about 5 min of play I feel like I'm back to my old PalmOS days on BoD 1. The learning curve is odd for old Palm users of this game because we're used to physical buttons and having to adapt to a glass smooth surface for this game is throwing some off.
As for the accelerometer, the author of this game said on toyspring.com that early builds used it and it was a MESS... almost impossible to play.
NOTE TO THOSE CLAIMING BUTTON SENSITIVITY.... do not MASH the tilt buttons, lightly tap them and you're golden... if you mash them there is a latent press registered and it gives the bike a lot of spin!
Fantastic game, absolutely worth the price of admission
I loved the original version on my Palm, and this version is even better. You should know that the game is very difficult and it is really more like an action puzzle game then a bike simulation. In fact the physics are pretty unrealistic in that your bike is very springy/stretchy, but that is a big part of the game. In fact that are times when you have to take advantage of that springiness just to pass a section. You don't play this game by holding down the GO button - take it slow, sometimes really slow. One basic tip I can give is to rapidly press the brake button in order to slow down quickly without flipping over, and also to slow down when going down a steep hill. Anyway, this is a fantastic game and I highly recommend it, especially with the huge number of levels available for play. Great stuff!
