Blackout Alarm alerts you when the electricity goes out. Why should you care if the power goes out? For starters, a refrigerator without power will keep food at a safe temperature for only about four hours.
Over the years, I've lost hundreds of dollars worth of food because a bad storm caused the power to go out during the night. Blackout Alarm is my solution. I plug it in when a storm is coming through and the electricity has been flakey. If it goes out during the night, Blackout Alarm will wake me up so I can start the generator.
To use Blackout Alarm, simply plug your device into external power and launch the app. The app will stay open and sound an alarm if the power goes out. Test it first!
Blackout Alarm now keeps a log of all power events.
If you have any reason to be awakened when the power goes out, Blackout Alarm is for you.
