Description
Bookle is a simple, elegant EPUB book reader, designed from the ground up to let you read your EPUB-formatted books without getting in your way.
Bookle collects your books into its library, providing instantaneous single-click access to any title, and remembering where you left off in every book. Simple, efficient navigation controls (using the mouse, trackpad, or keyboard) let you read without distraction. You can switch between books in a single window, or open multiple windows to refer to several books simultaneously. Bookle can even read your books aloud to you.
Bookle is a collaborative effort of Adam Engst of TidBITS Publishing (publishers of the Take Control ebook series) and Peter Lewis of Stairways Software (creator of the file transfer tool Interarchy and current developer of the Keyboard Maestro macro utility). Bookle brings together Peter’s programming skills and Adam’s publishing and documentation experience, and it includes complete documentation in the form of a built-in ebook, “Take Control of Bookle.”

Customer Reviews
Well…it works...
A scrolling ebook reader, rather than paging. It handles EPUB 3, even fonts. It works. The font rendering is superior to Calibre--important for comfortable reading of long books.
Bookle doesn't have a search capabilitity, which is why I only give it two stars. One of the great advantages of ebooks is search and Bookle doesn't support it. It also could look prettier. And there's no way to hide the library directory or current book table of contents, which becomes distracting when reading.
Still, I'm using it.
Much better than than the reviews would indicate
If you're looking for a way to view DRM FREE ePub content on the Mac, Bookle is an excellent choice. Bookle has a very clean and simple interface, if anything a bit too simple in a few areas such as library management, however it works quite well for reference books (thanks Pragmatic Press and O'Reily for DRM-free versions of eBooks!) and other content on the Mac. Navigation while reading is simple and efficient (the space bar is about all you need). This will certainly become a five star application once search and better library management features are added. Don't be put off by negative reviews. The authors have a feedback site and listen to suggestions. The initial updates have already provided nice improvements.
Doesn't work
Some epubs work, but others don't. I just tried to open 2 pubs, both of which work in Calibre. One wouldn't open at all in Bookle, while another one gave the chapter headings but no text.
