Good UI, crappy playback
EDIT2: Problem still not solved, app loses synch frequently. Could be such a great app, instead it's useless. It is in effect just a bad remote control for the built-in iOS music player. Please code your own player, then this app would be great.
EDIT: Downgrading this to one star until this is fixed: the player loses the playback position EVERY time you open an app with sound, such as skype. So incredibly annoying, please fix this!
Very good user interface and flexible skip options. However this app does not play audiobooks directly but remote controls the built-in iPod app. Unfortunately it looses sync with the player very frequently, thus forgetting the playback position. Would be 5* if it had its own player.
Unreliable
The app frequently loses sync with iPod app when starting/stopping from lock screen. Moreover, this most recent version stopped playing after a recent sync and even prevented the iPod app from playing audiobooks. I had to delete the app, delete the audiobook, and re-sync in order to play audiobooks again.
While an admirable attempt in some respects, especially as regards its idiosyncratic and inventive UI, the Bookmark app is not reliable enough to replace the iPod app. Oh, well. Here's hoping the developers improve the app over time.
Exactly what I was looking for.
After wasting $8 on a different app, I found this one. It does EXACTLY what I wanted...saves all my last read spots when reading (listening to) multiple books. Easy interface, plays in background, auto lists all my iPhones audio books, works with Bluetooth headphone's controls, etc. SOOOO much better than using the iPhone's music player.
