The way you work with the application:
Create budgeted entries, both for your income and expenses (with any periodicity and length that you want), and indicate budget limits for each entry. Start adding every transaction you have, and see progress of each category and the overall progress. You may set transactions as recurring or as one-time only. And now control your budget and see the statistics in all the main common types of charts: Pie Charts, Histograms, Pie Charts and Line Chart. Not useful
While the app works, it isn't useful. There is no option to budget if you get paid on the 1st and 15th. Leading to the app budgeting you for an unintended amount if you choose 2 weeks. If both you and your spouse earn a salary there is no way to separate the two. The app only allows you to have one of each category. This is also an issue if you own multiple houses or cars. If you try to add a second it only changes the first. While it is a visually appealing app, I would much rather keep budgeting with an excel spreadsheet where I am not so limited.
Pretty good, but.....
I love the app, but have two big problems that each cost a star.
Number one, please give us an option for the budget to carry over from month-to-month. It would be far easier to make small changes each month, rather than adding the WHOLE thing back in there.
Also, the sync feature between my iPhone and iPad simply does not work. I've tried everything and came close to ditching the apps over this very annoying issue. The help section does have any tips/guidance in this area either.
Overall, I love the UI and functionality, once I figured this very complex app out. Very close to be a great product if these things can be fixed.
Oh, and to the person that said you cannot create a second salary, that is false information. All you have to do is create a new icon and name it Salary 2, or something similar.
Love it!
This app helps me with my household budget. At a glance I can clearly see if I am on target to stay in the black!
