Customer Reviews
Nearly
Nice simple interface, and does what it says.
Unfortunately, the link to your iCal is just that...to iCal, not your MobileMe calendar. If you use iCal, fine, but if you use BusyCal, don't buy this app. If you use your iPhone or iPad calendar, but not iCal, don't buy this app.
Basically, you need to run iCal in order to pull your MobileMe events in, and then this works.
If there was an option to sync to MobileMe in the same way as Google Calendar, this would be great, but, for me at least, it's useless.
update with features which perfect an already really useful application
I am a college student. My life is not so busy that I need a fancy calendar system, but I do need to use iCal and the to-do system in iCal an Mail in order to keep track of my life. But a calendar and to-do list are only useful if you can refer to them easily and often — which is why CalendarBar is so incredibly useful. This simple, flexible tool has my schedule and to-dos at the ready and even send me Growl alert reminders, so I can spend my time actually doing what I need to do and going where I need to go rather than trying to remember those things.
Nice but missing some basic functionality
Does not support Delegates. If you are synching your Google Calendar with iCal and you have multiple calendars on Google you will have them seperated as "Delegates". CalendarBar will not display all of them and you cannot control which ones it does.
Their website says they have not implemented it due to a restriction in iCal and have filed an enhacement request to Apple. Until this feature is fully implemented I'm going to leave the rating as is, especially considering that there was no warning about it. The pictures are decieving.
I manage all my college classes on a Google Calendar delegate and it's a big deal for me. The reason why I still gave it 3 stars is because I can still synch it directly with Google Calendar and then it shows all the delegates there. However when I want to edit or view an event it opens up Google Calendar which is undesireable.. meaning it doesn't use iCal effectivley.
