Video playback!
I'm commenting for the third time regarding the same issue I did before. Maybe this time it can get resolved...but I doubt it. Can you please fix the issue regarding the video playback automatically reverting to landscape mode? Prior to the last 2 or now 3 updates, you had the choice of watching what you just recorded on the full vertical screen. Now when reviewing your videos prior to saving, it reverts to lanscape mode and doesn't even fill the entire screen unless you zoom in, which I feel is ridiculous! It plays the video in a tiny square in the center of the screen, reducing the size of what I was just filming on the full vertical screen mode! Why fix something that wasn't broken? While the camera itself is still fantastic, this takes away from the app! PLEASE fix, or let's just say let the video camera do what it did before the updates!
Good camera app, couple of glaring flaws.
This app has a lot of nice functions and works very well for the features that it has. There are some significant problems with it however that hold it back from being truly great.
1) No resize feature. It would be nice to be able to change the dimensions of the image; it seems odd that given all the functionality this app has that this would be left out.
2) Password protection is by photo only, you cannot create a password protected album and access the contents with a single password entry. Instead, you must enter your password for each photo you want to view, and you can't tell one photo from another because they are covered with a padlock icon when they are protected. At best, finding the photo you want is like playing concentration, at worst it's shooting in the dark.
3) The camera "cancel" button does not work when accessed via this app. If you go to the camera, if you don't take a picture, you have to quit the app to exit the camera. It's not a problem with my iPhone either because none of the other photography apps I have exhibits this behavior.
4) The interface needs some work. Icons don't give an indication they've been activated when you touch them, and they respond poorly to user input. It takes several taps to get them to accept input, and when they do there is a noticeable lag before the command is executed. Again, this is not a hardware problem because none of the other photo apps I have show this behavior.
In sum, good features and functionality, but marred by some glaring oversights and bugs in the app.
Waste of money
I had Qik Video but it quit working with ios4 update so I looked for new video app. Bought this because of reviews, and I'm dissapointed. I also have Gorillacam, and it takes much better photos. Photos on this app are grainier and darker than Gorillacam. Iphone native video is better. No need for this app.
