Description
CandyFactory is an educational game that teaches the concept of fractions to middle school students based on splitting operations with partitioning and iterating. It consists of three levels: Level 1 teaches proper fractions as part-whole concept. Level 2 teaches proper fractions as whole concept. Level 3 teaches proper as well as improper fractions as whole concept. A nominal score is displayed at the end of the game to show how well the student has done. Sound-based feedback and background music are provided.

pedagogically sound app
This app is pedagogically sound as it constrains the user to first deal with the meaning of denominator (partitioning). The app also helps students to see the fraction as a measure (measure icon). This is often missing in the learning of fractions.
different than most math apps
I like that the game helps students understand fractions, not just drill and practice.
Horrible
This is the worst app ever!!! It giver me not one piece but 2!!! And I am pretty sure that the number 1 is not 2!!!!!!!!!!! This app is really bad. Do not get it!!
