Ever go to a car show or classic car auction and would like to know more about a particular vehicle? Enter the name ("67 Ford Mustang") or the VIN ("7F02M123456") and get up to 70 data points on the vehicle, a detailed summary of the car or Wikipedia page, and links that refer you to the web for even more information.
Car Collector was developed as a partnership between Decode This (www.decodethis.com), the leading online VIN decoding web site, and the Classic Car Database (www.classiccardatabase.com), the premiere source of data on vintage cars. We've pooled our knowledge and experience to produce a product designed for the classic car enthusiast.
Tap the search box and enter either a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) if available, or as much information as you know on the car: "67 Mustang", "Dodge Challenger", "67 Chevrolet". Our server side parser will find the closest matching vehicle in the database. And with over 33,000 car models spanning from 1900 through 1975 the selection of vehicles is very comprehensive.
You can also search by "drilling down" to the car: Tap "Lookup by Vehicle Year" and select the year, make, series, and finally model of your car. This gives you the ability to discover the car by focusing on the information you have available.
Car Collector stores the cars you've searched for in an archive, sorted by date, giving you a record of the vehicles you've researched.

Wealth of information available
Having all this information on classic cars in one location and easily navigable is incredibly handy.
It's nice to be able to see the history of cars you've viewed as well.
A must buy for any classic car enthusiast or any hobbyist like myself as well.
Really useful tool
Very useful for going to car shows. I use it even when I'm watching Mecum auctions on TV. It's great to be able to just type in "60 Ford F" for example and get ford fairlanes and falcons returned. Try typing different stuff into the search bar, it's very flexible. Next we want foreign cars!
