Fantastic!
I love that I can share my favorite images with friends now and love that when you touch the ladybug, she flies away!! Great job Assouline and Coke!!
Totally lame. Save your money.
What I thought would be a rich visual history of the Coca-Cola company - which could have mined its 125 year old archives of great graphics, billboards, and ground-breaking promotional items - including clocks, trays, signs, radios, coolers, Coke Machines, in-Store displays and golden-age celebrities - turns out to be a cheap thrown-together "overview" of Coke today focusing almost entirely on current images -- and goes backward in time rather than in chronological order. The lame "app" includes like only 10 images reflecting the rich, illustrative Rockwell-esque classic advertising, which mirrored late-19th and 20th century culture.. Even when using those few images, it jumps around with little continuity from, say, the 1890s to the 1920s (sharing one spread) as as if they were the same time-frame. There are almost no relevant quotes or text which relates to the individual images. The animation is totally cheesy and the pop-up videos make it seem more dated and even lamer than it is. This type of production is typical of naive newcomers to the product who only view it from their own limited perspective, and reeks of a last-minute "concept: by their advertising agency to celebrate the 125th anniversary. A crappy, historic timeline appears on the next-to-last page - with print so small it is barely readable even in portrait view on an iPad. When zoomed in it is out of focus because it is pixel-based rather than something like a PDF. They could have hired numerous people who actually know about the company's history and comprehend it as it relates to our culture. And at the last page they want to sell you a printed edition of this "book" for over $600!
