Pretty good interface, horrible buggy GPS
Pros:
Interface is pretty intuitive
Cons:
Doesn't automatically turn off when you get out of the app
Constantly misjudging where you are and giving improper directions as a result
The big question: Why is CoPilot offering all these competing, yet ostensibly identical apps? Trying to confuse everyone or get them to needlessly upgrade?!
Klunky but usually right
Yes, it takes patience to learn this app because it is not logical. That said, it works. Caveat: I've never used a dedicated GPS before. So it is bewildering how it gives wrong turns often. We have to use our own sense to not turn when it's obviously wrong. It's goofed us up at Phoenix, Grand Canyon, rural Michigan and Minnesota. I might try another GPS but not delete this one...
Great App that pays for itself
Copilot has replaced those clunky GPS units that I used to rent with a car when visiting the US. Although the speech navigation does not give street names or highway exit numbers, these do appear on screen. The routes were all accurate and worked well, even if they were not always the safest choice. Paid for itself in one day. The only extra piece of equipment you need is a $5 car charger. Let's hope the updates remain regular and free.
