Great on iPhone, there's a catch on Mac
I downloaded this thinking it would be an extension of the great app from innerfence I use on my iPhone. However, it is not. Unfortunately, in order to use the app you must register for a merchant account through innerfence. Bummer. Also, the "Begin Setup" button doesn't work or take you to their site. Disappointing.
It DOES work like the iPhone/iPad app
I have been using the iPhone app and later the iPad app for processing credit cards for my business. Then I saw this for the Mac and said GREAT! Now I can process credit cards wherever I am. And I was RIGHT! I contacted Innerfence and within minutes my account was linked and away I went.
Innerfence is a great company and really has great customer service. You do need a merchant account to process credit cards, but you do NOT need additional merchant accounts to use this software.
I am not connected to Innerfence in any way except that I use their software to process credit cards.
Don't disparage a good company because you don't know what you are doing. I am a small company and before Innerfence, I had paid thousands of dollars to other companies to be able to process credit cards.
This is simply the easiest and best software available for the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch and now the Mac.
If you download it and can't get it to work, contact Innerfence. You will see that they are a first rate company with exceptional customer service and support.
Another Disappointed Customer.
Was thinking it would be real easy to work same as, we worked with iPhone app. Regarding registering an account with the inner fence, i think it's a trap to get as many small business to get involved with their contract and get them stuck. I am a business man myself and can rely on anything that's free on my way. If they make a same interface as iPhone to use application, I do not mind paying couple of dollars for it. Thanks to this app on a iPhone average joe like me who rely on these apps to process it's daily clients and rely on the services it provides us.
