Description
When we ask for directions on the streets, a friendly index finger pointing towards the destination is often more than enough.
Crowsflight is a GPS compass that simply points. No instructions, no maps to orient, no lines to follow, just an arrow that points at the destination.
Functions
-bookmark your current position
-search for a destination by address or placename
-displays the distance in metric or imperial units
-shows progress (how much closer you are to your destination since you started)
-opens crowsflight:// url schemes (e.g. crowsflight://maps?hnear=Budapest,+Hungary&gl=us&ll=47.547799,19.03656)
-doubles as a regular compass (red arrow)
-input latitude and longitude manually (e.g. open search, type in 40.692099,-73.944325)
-works offline (searching is the only function that requires an internet connection)
By combining location data (GPS) with the compass, Crowsflight provides mapless navigation in an intuitive, glance-at-it kind of way.
Uses
-mark where you parked your car
-walk or bike to a destination while choosing your own path
-geocaching
-bookmarking your favorite places
-hiking
-wandering
-touring
-traveling to a new city, marking your hotel, getting lost, and finding your way back
-calculate how far your messenger pigeon needs to fly to reach home
We want you to try it out, so Crowsflight is free for the first 10 days. After that, if you want to keep adding new locations, the app will ask you to purchase an unlock for 99 cents.
