Be aware that in order to use this app you are REQUIRED to sign up for a comiXology account, something that really should be revealed in the description. When I used their feedback form to ask about this, I was told point blank that they would rather lose customers and sales than simply allow the customer the choice of using comiXology or not. Such an attitude just leaves me speechless. This app will now be deleted from my iPhone and iPad.
Current issues and great selection!
DC's comic app is just like any Comixology app in terms of functionality and form, but what really sets this one apart is the issue catalog. There are a number of free issues that you can grab from week to week and they're choosing to release issues by popular story lines, such as "Hush" and "Sinestro Corps War" at $1.99 per issue. (More current issues are at the regular cover price of $2.99.) The most impressive aspect of this app is the fact that CURRENT issues of the bi-weekly series "Justice League: Generation Lost" are available for download the same week the most current issue drops in comic stores. Very impressive. Hopefully, this is a trend that will extend to issues of other series. If you're a big DC fan and don't like the piles and piles of Longboxes that are taking up space, this is definitely the app to have. Well done, DC, for giving this app the attention it deserves.
Great app, lots of freebies
Updated regularly with plenty of free batman comics, what else could you want? I mean, besides the fact you can't upload your own cbr's into it
