Description
This is the official Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) disc golf app! This app was designed by disc golfers, for disc golfers, and is linked to the PDGA’s extensive online course directory (http://www.pdga.com/course_directory). In addition to the course directory, a very easy-to-use scorecard allows you to track your rounds (up to 6 players).
This is the only app approved by the PDGA to calculate personal round ratings! See http://www.pdga.com/faq for more information about the PDGA ratings system.
Here is a list of the key features:
• Search for courses from your location, by address or name
• Get directions from your current location to a course
• Save your favorite courses for future play
• Customize and update hole and course details
• Get real-time local weather info for any course in a search
• Easily create a new scorecard for up to six players
• Keep score and store the round results and data
• Default par always in score area for quick input
• Record various types of penalties
• Calculate round ratings
• Displays updated tee order before each new hole
• Make course notes by hole for future reference
• Instantly create a scorecard by Favorites or Most Recent courses and players
• Email scorecard data directly from the app to yourself or others
• Post your scorecard to your Facebook profile
• Start round on any hole for shotgun starts

If I have to pay for it it should work
I just bought an iPhone 4S and the PDGA was the first thing I installed. First time I used it I was able to search for courses. Now I get nothing. 4.99 is not cheap for an app that not all features work. Please fix with an update soon. I know the developers don't read these comments but it makes me feel better. Thanks again for taking my money for a non working product.
Worked great till the update
Was finding courses and keeping rounds till it updated yesterday.
For $5 it should be a much better app
This app has so much potential. The interface is fine the course locator is good. The big problem is with the scoring and the courses, which makes the round rating useless. The app uses the PDGA course directory for the number of holes & pars of the course. If the course has multiple tees & baskets but the course directory may have only one option that all you can score. A great example is my local course. There are Am & Pro tees but the app only has the Am tees. I can't score and rate from the pro tees. One place has three courses that on the app scores as 54 holes not 3 courses of 18. The PDGA people have told me that the local pro of that course is responsible for correcting this. But it doesn't seem to be the case.
One other problem but not that big of a deal is the app connects to the PDGA course directory. If you don't have a signal this could be a problem.
If you are considering this app look at the PDGA course directory at the courses you play the most and see how they are listed. If they have a detailed listing that allows multiple choices then I would probably get it. But if it doesn't then you a better off getting a free app like Discasaurus that does recognize the variety of courses.
Hopefully the PDGA will find a solution to this problem, considering this is by far the most expensive app for Disc Golfers it should not have a major flaw. If I could I would get a refund until they can fix this problem and rebuy it then.
