To play a track stored in iCloud with djay, please download it first by clicking the iCloud download button next to the track in the Music (iPod) app. You can also download entire playlists.
☆ DRM Protected Songs Hint:
djay supports the vast majority of audio files, such as MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIF etc. including all songs available from the iTunes Store. However, songs purchased from the iTunes Store before 2009 were DRM protected and cannot be accessed by djay. If you still own such older files, you can upgrade these to DRM free (iTunes Plus) via iTunes.
TIPS & TRICKS:
★ Auto-Cut Scratching™: Scratch the record with two fingers for beat-matched cutting.
★ Manual Fader Cutting: Tap crossfader outside the knob for manual cutting.
★ Bounce Loop: Swipe finger across bounce loop matrix to change loop interval on-the-fly.
★ Gain: Swipe finger on level meters to quickly adjust gain, double tap to reset.

I LOVE THIS APP!!!
I really do... I am amazed by all I can do with it. I have had a lot of fun using it, and I can honestly say it has saved my sanity. I moved to the Midwest over the summer and had to get rid of all of my DJing gear. Without Djay and my trusty gen1, I think I may have lost it out there...
I have created numerous great mixes and even played some parties.
And this brings me to my heartache. I want so badly to start using my iPad to DJ at clubs and live events. But the lack of a dedicated STEREO master out while retaining the ability to cue through my headphones takes me just short of being a serious contender. I have purchased an Alesis I/O Dock. And the hardware allows other programs a stereo master out and separate headphones. If Djay could be programmed to utilize this configuration, I believe it could step up to compete with the big names in digital DJ software.
Like I said I love this program. Nothing I've used on the iPad platform comes close to it. It pains me to rate anything less than 5 stars... I need the full dynamic stereo sound of my music tho. Please remedy this so I can rate a 5 like this app deserves.

Useless if on iTunes Match
It works great for downloaded music. But if you have your music on iTunes Match, you have to download each song in iTunes before it'll play in djay.
However, it shows your entire iTunes Match library as available! Frustrating! Why not just show your downloaded music?
This app would be 5 stars if you could download from iTunes Match while you DJ'd. Until then, one star only.
