Following the great success of the app, Dotz has boosted the application with a new QR code scanner and the popular wheel configurator.
In the future, every Dotz wheel at your local tuning shop comes with a QR code you can scan with your mobile phone or tablet to get to all the product info on the Dotz website. All your scans are logged in a history so you can see what rims you have already looked at.
The configurator comes with 6 brand new rims of the 2012 collection:

- Rapier dark
- Territory

With this app designed for the iPad 2 including camera support, you simply take a picture of your car, select a wheel and begin pimping your vehicle. The application allows you to virtually put all available Dotz rims on your car in a matter of minutes. In addition, you can choose from a selection of logos and graphics to make stylish finishing touches.
You can choose from rims that fit with your actual car setup or even put any product from the Dotz portfolio onto your ride. Whatever you do, the new Dotz app makes it easy for you to fulfill your tuning fantasies. When you’ve finished creating your masterpiece, send the pictures to a friend, post them on Facebook or publish them in the specially designed App Gallery on dotzmag.com. And if your virtual setup is so compelling that you want to recreate it in reality, the app lets you find the nearest Dotz dealer at the touch of a button.
Please note that the functionality on iPad 1 is limited due to the missing camera.
