Great App
I love that I can connect from my DocstoGo now, that is an amazing feature I have wanted for a long time. This app, DocsToGo and iDisk are the best apps out there. They all link and files can be shared via email and even edited in DocsToGo. Its a flash drive on your phone. Editing files or importing directly form email would be a wonderful update! That would get a perfect 5 stars! I have used this almost daily for transfering forms to the office while on the road. It works like a charm. I wish I could edit files etc in the app, but the fact that I can store files from my PC and send them when needed, is great. Updating files is instant when adding them on the desktop. It holds more than my thumb drive and doesnt get left behind when I finish using it. Access account form desktop or internet, and its FREE! I havent had one issue with this app.
WiFi or 3G REQUIRED
If you want an App that helps you use your iPad as an external drive, flash, etc, then this is NOT the app. Your iPad must ALWAYS be connected to WiFi or 3G, even just to view files that you've previously downloaded. (even mail on iPad allows you to do that without a connection!)
For instance: you're in a lunch meeting and you want to quickly show someone your recent art or spreadsheet (the one that showed just fine while you were running out of the office, but still connected to office WiFI). Now, "Unable to View File" is all you'll be able to show off if you do not have a WiFi/3G connection.
Otherwise, the app works fine, updates quickly, and is very easy to use with an internet connection. The problem is that the app doesn't keep the files already downloaded (it seems to download it ever time you view it), so you are screwed without an internet connection.
Fixed!
Submitted a bug report over the weekend, fixed on Monday! I still assert there should be an app-external preference to reset the thing when it gets cranky and crashes on launch restoring from saved state to get around this issue (not the first version I've seen with a similar bug).
Indespensible app regardless when it's working!
