Great food guide to Florence!

I bought this app and the Eat Rome app for iPad before a recent trip to Italy. Throw away your restaurant guide books and the handouts hotels give you, this app is all you need. Whether you are looking for fine dining, a glass of wine, a slice of cheese, or a board to roll gnocchi, you will find it here. This app is informative and very well designed, and the listings work seamlessly with the maps. It is a breeze to find spots near your lodging, or near where you are standing. Looking at the updates makes me want to return to Florence! Ditto for the Rome app.

PERFECT Vacation Planning Tool!

We just returned last night from 9 days in Italy. We had a great time during the first two days of our vacation (in Venice), but honestly we were disappointed in the food. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable. We searched the iTunes Store and found the Eat Florence and Eat Rome apps, and decided to give them a try. What a great find!

We used the Eat Florence app our first night in Florence, and tried Trattoria Sostanza…what a find! My wife, son and I were very happy with the food, and soon my wife was asking what the app recommended for dinner, where is the best gelato, where we could find the best chocolate, etc.

Vacationing in Italy is somewhat expensive, and we found these apps to be a great investment in getting the most our of your vacation.

Art and gelato

I had about 72 hours in Rome and same in Florence for art huntimg and as much gelato and other italian specialties as i could find. I had an iPhone but didn't want to use the data plan. I got Eat Rome and Eat Florence as well as the offmaps app and I was set! Offmaps had better map function (a noted issue in other Eat reviews). I found more places than i had time to try and I had some tasty food thanks to Elizabeth! A great resource
