Description
Eating Disorders provides guidance at the point of care for clinicians evaluating and treating people for the eating disorders named in DSM-IV. The app presents evidence based tools for screening (SCOFF questionanaire), comprehensive evaluation, laboratory workup, and guidance on treatment setting.
The app addresses such common questions as:
•how can I screen for Anorexia & Bulimia Nervosa? how good is the screening tool?
•what are the elements of comprehensive diagnostic evaluation?
•what labs and workup should I get for a patient 25% below ideal body weight?
•what should I consider when negotiating inpatient vs. outpatient treatment setting?
Written by the multidisciplinary team at the Southern Tier Eating Disorders Network, this app is written and intended for practicing clinicians like family physicians, internists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, school nurses, and more; for resident physician trainees; and for medical students. As an educator and clinician, I am interested in feedback and I would be grateful for guidance on improving the tool.

Customer Reviews
Good as a guideline
But far from up to date or comprehensive. Even at my lowest weight, with a BMI of 13.12, I had periods once every 2-4 months and they didn't stop until later at a BMI of around 17. With a BMI OF 15.11, i Barely met the weight criteria, though the old criteria stated a BMI of 17 or lower. Also, the diagnosis criteria has been changed a lot, and so should be modified in your app. Please update this. Alot.
