good app. my child like it
Best free vocabulary app!
The words are spoken clearly by native speakers of English. The pictures are attractive, the vocabulary appropriate and the sound for an incorrect choice is a softer buzz, it lets the user know he is wrong, but it is not overly annoying. The user can continue pressing until he finds the right answer, so he can learn through trial and error instead of getting just one guess in before the answer is revealed.
My own children like it, but also I think it will be useful for some of my students with special needs/speech therapy students as well.
One suggestion- the body pictures could be done better- the "head" shot could be "face", for example, maybe zoomed in a bit more, and then another head shot with the face turned away could be used for "head". Also it is a bit strange that the "hand" picture has eyes in it, and that the "body" picture focuses on a stomach with a face drawn on it.
Maybe replace those in an update.
Still, it is of higher quality than many of the competing paid apps out there, and I wasn't surprised to see an ESL teacher and SLP collaborating on this, well done!
Learning is fun
Kids will surely love this as they learn right from the beginning. Great app!
