More kid-friendly
I have all of these apps by conover downloaded for my daughter with asperger's. They are wonderful videos & do a great job of breaking things down step by step that you wouldn't even think of needing to break down on your own! However, i think that they could be a bit mor kid-friendly. My daughter is 6, & while they are helpful, i think she would enjoy them more if they were focused more on kids....think BrainPop!
Great Teaching Tool
My 8 yr old grandson has Autism, and since acquiring this App a couple of weeks ago, he has learned to use the men's restroom, for the first time. We are absolutely thrilled. He's large for his age, and we've started getting strange stares from women when I've had to take him into the women's bathroom with me, but after watching the using the public restroom video several times, he's memorized the steps and used the men's restroom on his own! I was just as proud and excited as when a toddler becomes "potty trained". I can't wait to see what other skills he is now going to be able to learn. I'm so thankful for this App, I've been raving about it to other friends in the Autism community. He will play with this App for literally hours, and is interacting with me about it, as he is practicing the different skills, which require interaction. So this really works on many levels, not only teaching skills but also creating interaction which may be lacking with many children with Autism.
