Powerful and Easy to Use!!!
This App has many options for filtering and renaming files. Support is top notch. I e-mailed a question and received a response pleasent within 5 minutes.
I wish all my purchases were this satisfying!
a different kind of file renamer
There are a lot of file renaming utilities out there...
Some of them are simplistic in both interface and function, others intuitive and moderately-featured, some are complex and powerful, and some are just plain confusing and poorly designed. I've probably tried all of them.
FileWrangler 2.0 is different. It takes a brief mental reorientation to 'get' how it works, but once 'get it,' it's incredibly intuitive and easy to begin exploring its power. It offers quite a bit of functionality and some interesting options for the 'power-user' who perhaps is more visually-oriented than the standard geeky computer power-user...
I can't find anything to fault so far, and it seems like the developer is invested in improving this App, so I'm looking forward to seeing how other innovative features are added.
Fabulous App!
I've used FileWrangler since it was originally released, and it's gotten waaay better over time. I frequently need to rename large batches of files and wasn't able to find anything comparable to this app. One of its most unique renaming features is its ability to trim down the file name (to an exact number of characters, or trim *by* several characters). The developer is very responsive, as some of the other reviewers have noted. Great app!
