Junk

This is highway robbery, I downloaded this app. Two days ago and have had little success working it. I have tried to login about 50 times, keep you $4 and buy yourself a lock got the fridge, you at least be able to open the lock.

Room for Improvement

This app is useful, but flawed.

First, the good. I found the exercise demos to be quite helpful as I began to explore the free weight side of the gym. The demos were especially helpful when I wanted to target specific muscle groups.

Also, I haven't had any problems with the app syncing across devices which is great because I don't really want to take my iPad to the gym.

However, when it comes to the ease of use, the wheels start to come off. I found that in order to edit a workout that was already submitted, I would have to delete it entirely and resubmit it. Otherwise, I ended up with multiple reps of my entire workout. It was pretty frustrating, but I figured out how to avoid this after some trial and error.

The app also fails to avoid the pitfalls of other apps of this kind. Namely, the calorie tracking is guesswork at best. Unless you are eating out of a can for every meal or at a restaurant, you have to guess at your intake. For instance, if I were to type 'pasta bolognese' into the Diet Tracker, results would come back with foods ranging from 60-720 calories per serving without enough specifics to judge where my own recipe fits on that spectrum.

I would love to see FitClick pair up with a recipe database so that I could better judge my calories!

Weak

So I have an account I use in my computer. Awesome website! Their app is a complete rip off. Although you can view/plan/submit what you consume you can only view the caloric intake not the carbs, protein, etc. App is worth maybe $1. Yes, I did see where it says "track nutrients" and hey guess what? You have to view those results on the website. I though an app was suppose to be convenient?
