Flash2Bang is a tool to calculate distance based on an observed event and the following sound associated with that event. Since the speed of sound is affected by air temperature, it includes a control to compensation for air temperature differences.

Cute, simple app. You could also find out how far away the fireworks are, or estimate the range of that artillery shot.
Nice that it let's you account for air temperature.
