DON'T BE FOOLED BY IMITATORS: Those other apps that have a dimmer feature are not really controlling the backlight at all. They merely darken the graphics on the screen to make it appear dimmer, which does absolutely nothing to help with your battery life. You can verify this yourself by observing the system status bar at the top (with the signal strength, clock and battery indicator) carefully as the screen "dims". Notice that the system status bar does not dim with it. The fact is, there are no developer interfaces to control the backlight. When official support for the backlight is provided, rest assured we will add a proper screen dimming mode.

NEW FEATURES:
♫ Settings > Display > View Layout: Choose between a wide variety of alternate view layouts.
♫ Settings > Display > Song Header > Left Align: Choose whether to Left Align the song header text or use the normal centered test.
♫ Settings > Display > Song Header > Header Text Scrolling Enabled: Choose whether song header text should scroll when the text is too long to fit, or truncate the text instead.
♫ Settings > Display > Song Header > Header Text Scrolling Speed: If scrolling is enabled, you can control how fast it will scroll.
♫ New gesture actions: Skip Fwd/Back in intervals of 0:05, 0:15, 0:30, 1:00, 2:30 & 5:00.

BUG FIXES:
♫ When tap-and-hold gestures were introduced in v1.4, it sometimes caused other gestures to not be recognized if you hesitated after setting your finger down. This is resolved by ignoring the tap-and-hold gesture completely unless you have assigned an action that requires it. Additionally, the length of time to trigger tap-and-hold gestures has been increased to 1 second, so that it is less likely to interfere with other gestures.

This version of FlickTunes has seen a permanent price reduction to FREE. There are new donation options on the Song Details and Quick Start screens instead, so that you may make a donation when you discover just how much you like FlickTunes. This effectively allows you to "try before you buy", but without the restrictions most trial-ware enforce. You can even donate multiple times, if you really, really like it.
For those of you who paid for a previous version of FlickTunes, please accept my thanks - there is no need to donate now. For those who downloaded FlickTunes during one of our free sale weekends, a donation would be greatly appreciated. Although a donation is never required, you may download and use FlickTunes completely free (and without limitation) for as long as you like, it will help encourage us to continue working on this and other apps.
