Description
FloodWatch allows users to monitor rivers and streams throughout the United States.
By leveraging data from the US Geological Survey and National Weather Service, FloodWatch presents the most recent and historical river heights, precipitation totals, and flood stage data. Graphs are available to help you visualize the rise and fall of the river.
Add USGS gages to your favorites for quick monitoring of current height levels, status, and flood stage.
FloodWatch is also geared towards those with interests in or near flood plains. If your home or other interests have been flooded in the past or could be flooded in the future, FloodWatch allows you to easily keep an eye on any potential flooding issues.
Future enhancements will include:
- iPad-specific user interface
- Apple Push Notifications for flood watches and warnings
- Mac App Store version
- Support for US Army Corps of Engineers gages
FloodWatch will continue to evolve as the most useful tool for river and stream monitoring on iOS devices.
NOTE: Mississippi River gages in and around the Memphis, TN area are controlled by the US Army Corps of Engineers, not the US Geological Survey, and, as a result, are not supported in FloodWatch. Future support is planned.

bad bad bad
If you need an app that's totally annoying and almost useless because it crashes a lot then this is what you're looking for.
Works for me
This is a very cool idea and potentially quite useful. I'm running it on the iPad2 w/ the latest OS5. It crashed on initial launch but after a soft reset seems to work fine. Clearly intended for iPhone, so a higher-res iPad version would be nice.
