FMTouch enables you to run FileMaker locally on your iPhone or iPod touch. No internet, no browser needed.
FileMaker runs independently on your iPhone and iPad. Your database goes wherever you go and guess what your data is completely encrypted and protected. Currently FMTouch does not support Bento.
Like FileMaker, you can view, edit, find, delete and create records. You can use portals, value lists, graphics, container fields, send emails, generate PDF reports, capture signatures on the fly and more.
We love the FileMaker community and we work hard to make quick updates and provide bug fixes.
Each release is tested by over 90 members of our beta test team to insure you are receiving an exceptional product.

I choose FMTouch over Filemaker Go
I debated whether to get FileMaker Go or FMTouch, and research drew me to this one. I love this app. It allows me to use all of my DB when I am out and about. I have it on my Touch, and IPad. I take it to the library so I can see what books I have read when I don’t remember the book name, but only the stories. I have my workouts with me at all times. and all 5 of my databases with me when I need them.
It syncs directly with FileMaker on my desktop machine, no need to email it. I can make and delete records on the touch or ipad.
.
OK, here are the problems. Any list layouts I have created will show only one record when moved to touch and ipad. To see all records in a list, you must go to Table view. This might be OK, but there is no way to zoom in so the text is very small AND there is no access to change the Table layout either on the desktop machine or the Touch or IPad. This is a huge problem. Further, the table has no space on the left so it looks like the text is running off the left side of the page, disconcerting. My workaround for these problems has been to create a special layout for the IPad and a different special layout for the Touch, but this is time consuming and does not solve the problem of viewing all records in a list in a way you can actually read them.
Other observations: Read the directions carefully, for instance, after syncing, you must hit the Done button twice to get to your database. This can be frustrating for Mac users who are used to having apps work seamlessly and intuitively. Once you are used to the way it does things, it is a pleasure. Tech support has answered my questions but you may have to wait a bit.
An Outstanding Application
I was looking for an application to keep track of books I've read or borrowed that could also be backed up to my computer. I tried ibookshelf and mylibrarian but found them to be unacceptable because the backups required an Intel Mac with a later OS than I currently have (I use a G5 with OS 10.5.8). Then I ran across FMtouch that allows Filemaker Databases to be used on the ipod. Since I use Filemaker on my computer anyway, this seemed like an ideal fit, and it was. I made up a simple database to keep track of the books and made a DDR with the online server as instructed. Everything works flawlessly and syncs easily between the computer and ipod. If you use Filemaker, BUY the FMtouch application -- it's worth every penny.
Good app, but sometimes flakey
I have been using it since they first released it. I paid $79 then. Sometimes it takes some technical effort to sync. Vital app for me, but it is not apparent that the developer continues to improve it. I wonder if they have quit improving it? I've called and emailed them a few times with no response in the past year. They did respond in the first year of development but seem to have gone dark. App has bugs, but more capability than FMGO.
